Last Post for Sem.1 2014

We have recorded HW check stamps from all classes on Tuesday. The double block classes I will

be giving final tests.

Wed is the last day for accepting assignments.

History 12:

-Here are the details on the test during BB.

History 12 Final Exam Outline:
1. you will write a well constructed essay with supporting details from the 20th Century.
-What to you think were the most significant events and/or people of the 20th Century? Explain with specific examples in an organized form.
-you may use a study buddy index card or a single sided piece of paper with notes.

SS11

We will do a practice test for credit on CC class. Also make sure you are working on the review sheets I have given.

HDI project is due by Wed.

 

SS8

-Make sure you have handed in the ebook Ren. project. Also have you finished the Reformation letter assignment, due on Wed.

Final Test day outline:

Test is mostly on Ch.8 (Explorers) and Ch.9 (Reformation)

-Review the material in these chapters and complete the review sheet I gave you.

 

Make sure you know the following:

1.      How and why explorers went to explore the globe.

2.      Ships and navigation…types, features, technology

3.      Portuguese Explorers: Dias, Vasco de Gama

4.      Spanish Explorers: Columbus, Magellan, Vespucci

5.      Conquistadors: Cortez, effects on Natives…death…

6.      British, Dutch, French Explorers: Drake, Cartier

7.      Why did the Reformation take place? Why was there a need for change?

8.      Protestant Reformers: Erasmus, Luther

9.      How did the bible becoming available in people’s everyday language change things?

10.   Inquisition & Massacres (p.286-7)
