SS10

Yesterday small groups did a comparison of the Canada East/West political parties.

Today groups finished the Advantages/Disadvantages of Confederation

Groups also assessed their partners video’s and created a shared document with their partner.

Plus choosing their top category areas to do the project on.

Yesterday we did some current events readings and questions.

 

We are a few days away from finishing the French Revolution assignment. Here are the parts we are doing now.

  1. The Revolution Begins & the Fall of the Bastille to the declaration of the Rights of Man and Citizen (see p.72-78 in Crossroads & the Website). Students make notes and put together a storyboard on how they will tell the story of the Fr. Revolution. Groupscan do fictional accounts of mirroring the real chain of events.
    1. Keynote
    2. Video or Music Video using iMovie & Green Screen
    3. Comic using ComicLife
    4. Puppet Show using SockPuppets+, Talking News or PuppetPals HD
    5. Photo Slide show of the revolution –include all the events (citing pictures, using Skitch). Also create some M/C questions to enter directly into iBook Author.
  2. Groupsto create a concept map on the differences and similarities of :
    1. Declaration of the Rights of Man (p.78 + look up full text)
    2. Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms (p.78 + look up full text)
    3. English Bill of Rights (p.47)
    4. Create a Concept Map (Inspiration or Popplet App)
  3. Aftermath of the Revolution (see last few pages of chapter p.84-85)
    1. Paragraphs (done independently by every student)
  4. Significance of the French Revolution (Why was it important for France & the World) Done by group.
    1. Paragraphs or Concept maps or do a video or anything.
