Today we were trying all types of technology in class.

Pretty much everyone has now finished creating the mini-videos uploaded to class youtube account on Lenin. Tomorrow we start looking at Stalin.

Today we did an intro to the 1920’s which will continue tomorrow.

It was also the last day to work on “what does it mean to be Canadian rant” video’s group work. Some groups need to finish editing and upload to class youtube account. So those groups can tomorrow…but they will have to finish quickly.

Today we worked on our “what does it mean to be Canadian” rant and using imovie to edit on the iPads.

We tried to use the Animoto app to show some learning on Lenin, but it didn’t work, so tomorrow we will port that work into iMovie instead.

HW was to finish Ex1,2,3 if you didn’t finish them in class today.

Don’t forget the WWI project is due tomorrow.

Today was our last day for for working on our Viking research project. Students worked on paragraphs from their notes, Due Thursday.

We are almost finished our project on Vikings. Finish for HW any notes you did not complete today in the lab. Tomorrow we will complete the paragraphs. The viking project is due on Wed.

Today we got oriented in how to use the e-Text app on our iPads. We also had our WWI project explained (find the details in class website) and started to watch Passchendeale. Project due Mon or Tues. WWI Test will be on Friday.

Today was the first day that my SS8 used ipads to do some research on comparing world religions. Students shared an ipad at their desk.
