SS9: Due Wed is the Map of WWI 1914 & the SBC Sheet 2.2 also for HW due on Wed.

Gen12: Due Wed Jan 16th is the Term Project

SS9: Last week we finished : Confederation Advantages/Disadvantage chart, Confederation 9 Q’s from readings (on webpage). On friday we did an exit slip on: Write two paragraphs: 1. Which level of Government has the strongest powers? 2. If the BNA Act were drawn up today what do you think would be different or similar? Mini presentations on Those Not Equal – will be presented on Tue end of class/Wed. On Wed we will have a unit test from Fur trade to Confederation.

Gen12: Last week we finished : Concept Map: “What were the main features of Khmer Rouge ideology? Who were the principal targets of the regime?” – handed in to Google Classroom. Friday we also did an exit slip on the following questions: Was the Khmer Rouge Tribunal Worth It?URL  2. Compare  in paragraph what happened to the Nuremberg Tribunal after WWII and what happened  by the courts in Rwanda/Cambodia (read this article). This week we are doing Bosnia and Kosovo genocide. Create a mini-presentation the significance of the following for the Yugoslavian Genocides.

Also we will be watching a movie on Khmer Rouge on thurs/fri.

SS9: Overdue assignments Monday last chance: Current Events booklet, Fur Trade in W Canada chart. Due monday is the Underground Railway List of obstacles and paragraph on life in Canada for blacks.

Gen12: We finished the KWL sheets on Rwandan Genocide Tribunal.

SS9: HW is to finish the Loxley’s comic paragraphs (instructions and hand in to Google Classroom). Also due on Tues is to complete the Person/Battle of the War of 1812 Journal or Newspaper article (details in Google Classroom).

Gen.12: For HW is the Romeo Dallaire and the UN Comic Strip. (you can draw it if you didn’t finish it in Comic Life).

SS9 today we did an activity on US Declaration of Independence in small groups.  See me for details

Gen12: Finished the 5 questions on Rwanda and now just starting either timeline or venn diagram.

Gen12: We finished the Partisan questions and the question on the partisan teenager. All posted on our class website. Hand in via paper or via Classroom for Monday

SS9: Notes on the 4 electoral systems are for HW and due Monday. Block B – complete the Pro’s & Con’s Posters.

NOTE that Tuesday Nov6th is the absolute last final day for all assignments. It is the end of term

SS9: On Tue we did some questions on First Cdn Colonies Q1,2 (top) & Q1,3 (Bottom). On thursday we did US 13 colonies video assignment.

Gen12: Due on Friday or Monday morning is the term project on Holocaust Topics. Also Night questions are due by Tue end of class.

SS9: Tue and Wed we have been working on mini presentations on Revolution topics. Groups will present in google slides on Monday. Thursday is Student Vote activities.

Gen12:  We have been listening to Night novel. Students will have to complete the Night questions by end of next week. Also students just chose topics for Major Term Project.

SS9: Last few days we completed some posters for the Student Vote display in the library.

Gen12: We finished the Auschwitz video on Thursday. On Oct. 9th we did an exit slip with 5 Q’s from work done in class.

SS9: Friday we did a test on FR. Revolution. Next few days we are doing posters on Municipal election candidates.

Gen:12: We finished watching movie- Book Thief. Did exit slip on Auschwitz q’s.
