SS11: Working this week on BC Youth Project. Essay & Video & Bookcreator.

SS11: Tues we have current events quiz, Wed HW Check stamps due & last day for late assignments, Thurs we have a unit test so far on Gov’t.

SS11: We did a comparison chart on the political parties comparing 10 issues. Due on Thursday’s class.

SS11: Friday we did 2 current events handouts. We did notes on elections – including an exit slip on the FPTP & PR. On Tues we started on an assignment comparing the BC political parties platforms.

SS11: Form of Gov’t Assignment: Focus on a Country (preferably present) – Mini-Presentations on how they fit the requirements of that form of government with examples + Images.

SS11: Forms of Gov’t chart notes/discussion. Friday beginning mini-presentation on a form of Gov’t with a country example. Using Google slides or Keynote.

SS11: Started Gov’t unit. Did activity on political action. Tues we did some notes on ISM’s and did a group assignment poster: How to get more youth out voting: ideas.

WWI Test Outline

-Key Terms handout

-Causes of WWI

-How the war started & sides

-Conditions soldiers faced in the war (trenches & fighting)

-Make sure you know details of several battles: Vimy, Somme, Passchendaele, etc.

-War in the air, sea and new technology

-Details on your project topic

-What happened at the end of the war including the Treaty of Versailles and the League of Nations

SS11 We are working on our WWI research project. They are due on Wed at the end of class. Friday we have a WWI unit test.
