Thursday we did a concept map in groups on Upper Canada and how the land was in conflict for:
-Farmers, Aboriginals, Fur Traders.
Friday -groups handed in Geography video’s & we did a bucket list on 10 places in Canada you want to visit and why. (see handout). The web link to watch the video Over Canada is on our website.
Due on return after spring break. Any missing assignments should be completed by the return from Spring Break.

This week we began by discussing power and democracy in the middle age.
They had to complete 6 questions regarding the topic covered and hand them in.
This carried over to the next class where students were tasked to create their own
Magna Carta in pairs and post it on to their blog. Wednesday the class completed a
mini inquiry about something they still had question about the current unit. Thursday
Was a test preparation day followed by the test on Friday before spring break.

This week we have been watching a film and doing notes on how Aboriginals were treated by the US gov’t.
Groups made notes in 6 categories and then individually paragraphs were done.
To be finished on Friday and then handed in no later than Monday. Assignment linked on class web page.

During this week the class worked on religion and its role during the middle ages for
the beginning of the week. Next we explored the court system an laws the the feudal
age and ended the week discovering the reasons for the crusades and what the
consequences of the crusades were.

Today we finished the War of 1812 3 part project. Notes from the comic, paragraphs by each group member.
Today each group did their presentation in keynote of the War of 1812 battle & person.

This week we finished the final remains of our vikings research project on Wednesday
On Thursday the students had the a work sheet on the feudal age due as well as a
blog entry done at the end of class.
Friday the students worked on a small group project on manors as well has a
comparison chart for the life of people in the high middle ages that will be due next
Tuesday.
