This week we watched a video on Joan of Arc. AFter we started a blogger account and did some blogging posts on the film and Joan. Then students had to respond to each others blogs. Then on Friday we started on a Renaissance map of Italy- 3/4 of it due by Tue class.

Class put into groups and did a wiki on questions to politicians.
Started in groups looking at the different sections of the Charter in Ch.10 & groups will be doing a video. (detail on class website).

This week we have worked on the Germany Group wiki project. It can be worked on at home & should be completed this week. Also on Friday we did readings on Spain & Fascism. Test mid next week.

Friday we watched a video on elections and did Ex.9-12 on types of Gov’t

Class did a concept map on How you can effect political change. Also Rants are overdue.
We did notes on ISM and political ideologies & the political spectrum. Also P.302 Q#1,2,3,5
Wed we did Ex. 9-7 on how a law is made & we watched a video on ism’s & did Gov’t in Canada WS.

We have finished the castle project it is due Friday or Monday for some groups. By the end of next week we will have a Ch.5 Test on Middle ages.

Video’s on What it means to be Canadian were completed on Thurs/Fri. On friday we also completed a Web on Forms of Political action that are acceptable in a democracy.

We started looking on Nazi Germany. Groups put events of Hitlers rise to power in order. On Friday we did some q’s on Unit2 Ex. 11 Hitler’s Germany.
Thursday we also did a journal question on : Why do you think Fascists are anti-communists?

We did Unit 2 Ex. on Fascism in Italy, it is due on Thursday. Today we did a journal question.

I am currently calculating marks for the report cards, so Jupiter Grades marks are NOT final yet.

This week we have begun our research on Castle Life and will be building a model of a castle. Will be due probably by the end of next week.

For half of the week we did a library research project on WWII battles. These were due on Friday and if done in Glogster or Prezi then copy’s/links should be sent to me. We have also started on a short unit on what it means to be Canadian. We did Ex.1 & 2 and are starting on a rant video. Will be continued on Tuesday.

We watched a couple of video’s on China and did some questions for them. China in the 20th Century WS should be handed in soon also. In groups they did a VENN diagram on comparing communism in China and Russia. Next day we start looking at Mussolini.
Stamps are due by Friday at the last day. Fri is also the last day for late assignments.
